                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN
                   AREA MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON
                   FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY, MAY 1-3, 1992, FOR
                   THE GRAND OPENING OF THE TENNESSEE AQUARIUM
                   UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF THE TENNESSEE
                   AQUARIUM.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Riverfront Parkway between South River 
Street
       and the Mabel Street off ramp, Chestnut Street between 4th Street 

       and Riverfront Parkway, 2nd Street between Chestnut Street and
       Market Street, 3rd Street between Chestnut Street and Broad
       Street, the northbound lanes of Broad Street between 4th Street
       and 3rd Street, Broad Street between 3rd Street and 2nd Street,
       and the southbound ramp from the Veterans Bridge to Riverfront
       Parkway from 9:00 a.m. Friday, May 1, 1992 through 10:00 p.m.
       Sunday, May 3, 1992, and the temporary closing of the Market
       Street Bridge from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and 
Saturday,
       May 1-2, 1992, for the grand opening of the Tennessee Aquarium
       under the sponsorship of the Tennessee Aquarium provided that the 

       sponsors shall set out and pick up all flasher barricades and
       traffic control signs in accordance with the traffic control plan

       attached hereto and shall provide, at all times, an access lane
       for emergency vehicles.
